Community Legal Advice

Advice is free for those without access to legal aid.

Drop in and Appointment Day: Every Monday Time: 10am to 5pm .

Our housing advice services are designed to support residents facing housing challenges, whether due to a lack of awareness about their rights or the need for advocacy to ensure their voices are heard. We offer comprehensive advice and assistance on: Rent arrears, Unresolved maintenance issues, Tenancy rights education, Unlawful eviction, Anti-social behavior issues, Homelessness prevention, Succession rights, Landlord harassment, Eviction notices from court bailiffs, Injunctions issued by landlords, Securing access to safe and stable housing, Our service empowers residents to understand their rights and challenge injustices effectively. Furthermore, we are developing community-focused projects to amplify individuals' voices and inspire collective action through workshops and social events. These initiatives aim to promote social inclusion, foster integration, and advocate for safe, secure housing for all..

  • We offer guidance and support to help individuals access a wide range of financial assistance programs designed to alleviate economic hardship. These include: Universal Credit Payments, Pension Credit, Council Tax Reduction, Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP), Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), Working Tax Credit, Council Tax Discounts and Exemptions, Winter Fuel Payment, Cold Weather Payment, Energy Bills Support Schemes. We also assist with filling application forms online; accessing many other available programs; grants, ensuring individuals receive the full range of support they are entitled to, helping them navigate financial challenges with confidence and security. Our immigration services are designed to support residents and asylum seekers, including refugees, who need assistance with: Asylum applications, Judicial reviews, Appeals Human rights claims, Settlement applications, Family reunification, Refugee protection, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) support, Application assistance We are developing integration projects that help connect individuals to the community through workshops and social events, fostering social inclusion and helping them integrate more effectively.
