Youth Engagement
Youth Engagement Programme – is more about Leadership & Empowerment
COPEF’s Youth Engagement Programme empowers young people through leadership development, skills training, and meaningful participation. It is designed especially for justice-experienced youth and others, supporting them to overcome barriers, rebuild their lives, and reconnect with their communities.
We provide support, advice, advocacy, community-based rehabilitation, and opportunities for youth-led leadership. The programme offers a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space where young people can explore their potential, build confidence, and gain practical skills for personal growth and future careers.
At its core, the programme promotes leadership and empowerment. Young people are encouraged to take ownership of projects, raise their voices on community issues, and work together to create positive change. Activities include workshops on public speaking, teamwork, problem-solving, community organising, digital skills, entrepreneurship, and the creative arts.
Mentorship and peer support are central to the programme, connecting participants with positive role models and professionals from diverse backgrounds. Through structured sessions and real-world experiences, young people develop the tools to navigate challenges, set goals, and pursue further education or employment.
COPEF works in partnership with schools, churches, faith groups, local authorities, and youth-focused organisations to reach those most in need particularly young people from Black and minority ethnic communities. Our mission is to cultivate a new generation of confident, capable, and community-driven leaders.
